Actor Lee Je-hoon has gained attention and encouragement from fans after uploading a snippet of the current status of his activities while many are still in suspense about the broadcast of tvN's drama "Signal 2." On Dec. 11, Lee posted several photos on his personal social media channel with no caption added. The images show the actor smiling faintly with his hands in his pockets, framed by a nighttime cityscape. In another shot, he posed against the backdrop of Namsan Mountain and had created a calm and reflective mood while continuing drama filming schedules.

On Naver, the summary of entertainment news reported that Lee's relaxed expressions stood out, especially amidst bigger concerns surrounding the drama's broadcast plans. As a result, fans commented on supportive messages interpreted from such a post to reassure everyone in the midst of uncertainties.

Other pictures included him posing in front of promotional pictures of gyms, making heart gestures, clenching his fists, and playful strength poses. The gestures were widely shared among the fan communities, where many praised his steady demeanor and upbeat energy.

Behind the light-hearted update, however, is residual concern among local and overseas fans about the release of tvN's sequel series. Fans call the drama "Second Signal," the sequel to the original "Signal," which starred Kim Hye-soo, Jo Jin-woong and Lee Je-hoon. It was scheduled for a release in 2026, but the release timeline has recently become cloudy.

A report by Xports News said the uncertainty arose after Jo Jin-woong announced earlier in December that he would retire from the entertainment industry. The actor, who played a pivotal role in the original series, admitted to past criminal records, such as a history of juvenile delinquency, prior to confirming his decision to step away on Dec. 5.

Although the filming of "Signal 2" is already complete, according to some onlookers in the industry, there are still discussions going on about how this project will go. The broadcasters have not said whether the release schedule will be changed or if further edits and adjustments are to be made.

Fans find it ironic that Lee Je-hoon maintains a serene public appearance amidst the unstable situation surrounding the drama. Many fans have left supportive comments, highlighting that they are still looking forward to seeing the series, no matter how long the delay is.

As the attention remains on tvN's further move, Lee's understated update has become a focus for fans who want reassurance about the future of one of the most highly-anticipated drama sequels in Korea.
