Go Joon Hee, a South Korean actress, is getting a lot of attention after talking about her experience with plastic surgery on a recent YouTube variety show.

The honest comments, which aired on December 30, quickly spread online and got people talking about how open and honest the entertainment industry should be and what beauty standards should be.
Koreaboo says that Go was on a YouTube show where the main idea of the episode was an "insecurity villain." During the show the host Pungja asked the people there to explain what the word meant. Go then gave her own answer, saying, "It's someone who constantly causes trouble for those around them because of their insecurities."
Pungja then thought about the idea and talked about how this kind of behavior can get worse. Overall, the host's introduction set the stage for the situation. "This actually makes it harder for you," said the host, as she shared her perspective." The worse it gets, the more your inferiority complex grows."

As the show went on, the cast took part in a balance game that was meant to get them to give honest answers. Pungja set up the scene by asking, "If you have something you want to keep hidden, would you rather reveal you had plastic surgery or reveal your alma mater?"
The first person to answer was another guest, Kwon Tto Tto. He said, "It's already been revealed that I've had plastic surgery," before others added more. In response to his comment, Pungja joked, "I think he got his eyes done. Sorry."
Then Go added her own point of view to the conversation. Before she talked about her admission, she talked about the subject in general and asked, "Doesn't everyone get their eyes done?" She then quickly admitted what she had done, saying, "I got it done, too!"
Kwon Tto Tto liked what she said. He said, "You look so natural," as he praised how she looked. Pungja then asked Go if he had had any other procedures done. Go answered quickly with "Eyes," which made the group laugh.
Go went into more detail about her position and why she was open about it. She said, "I don't hide it," to make her point clear. I had my eyes fixed when I was in high school. I don't think getting plastic surgery is a bad idea.
Entertainment news sites, including Insight, widely shared the comments. They noted that Go's honest attitude stood out in an industry where these kinds of issues are often avoided or handled with care. The outlet also said that the actress had recently made news for calling out another actress for what she thought was inappropriate behavior, which made people even more interested in what she had to say.
