Rumors about Ha's marriage grew after reports said he had asked about wedding hall schedules in Seoul. Some reports even said the ceremony might happen in July. Some people thought that comments made by his father, actor Kim Yong-gun, were hints that he was going to get married soon, which made the rumors even stronger. But the agency has said that no plans have been made yet.

According to news reports on Naver, a spokesperson for Ha Jung-woo's agency, Workhouse Company, spoke directly about the situation in a statement released on February 4. The representative said in a neutral opening statement that made the agency's position clear,

"He is currently dating a woman, but nothing has been confirmed about marriage," the agency said.

The agency's comments were meant to make it clear that they were not denying the rumors about the actor's wedding while also acknowledging his relationship status. The representative stressed that there was no basis for reports that a marriage date had been set.

Hankookilbo also said that Ha Jung-woo, who was born in 1978 and is now 48 years old, has always been careful about talking about his personal relationships in public. He has had a successful career since his first movie, "Madeleine," came out in 2002. He has made many well-known movies, including "The Chaser," "The Yellow Sea," "The Berlin File," "Assassination," and the "Along with the Gods" series.

People have been interested in Ha's marital status for years, partly because of things his father said in the past. Kim Yong-gun talked about his oldest son's future on TV in 2024. Kim talked about his personal hopes at the time, saying, "Judging by the atmosphere, I think the eldest (Ha Jung-woo) will get married either at the end of this year or next year."

Later, Ha talked about those comments on JTBC's Newsroom. Before answering, he told her what had happened in his family that made him think about marriage.

"The fact that my younger brother got married and had a child really hit me. When I saw my nephew, I thought the time had come for me to get married too."

He then clarified the misunderstanding behind the rumors, adding, "My father only spoke of his own wishes."

Ha Jung-woo, on the other hand, is getting ready to go back to TV after 19 years. He will be in the new tvN drama "How to Become a Building Owner" in Korea, which starts on March 14.
