Some people online are upset with South Korean actress Lee Min Jung for posting a birthday video that some people say looks like smoking.

The argument comes right after BLACKPINK member Jennie got in trouble for a scene in a vlog where she smoked indoors. In that case, video showed Jennie using an e-cigarette while getting her hair and makeup done inside, which upset some viewers.

AllKpop says that Jennie's agency, OA Entertainment, spoke out about the issue in public. The agency said, "We apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable."
In light of this, Lee Min Jung recently posted a birthday reel on social media that brought up the topic of smoking-related images in the entertainment industry again.

Lee Min Jung wrote in the caption of her post, "Friends showing me a draft saying this reel is trending... I was too lazy to film it, but when asked, I do it properly. HBD, thank you all for the birthday wishes... Thank you to the staff for the shoot as well. Thanks a lot!! Return gifts are AHC Eye Cream for Face."
The actress in this video has on a pair of shades while also placing himself in front of a birthday cake. At one point, she puts a lit birthday candle in her mouth and strikes a pose that looks like someone smoking a cigarette. She then puts the candle back in the cake and makes a funny face before moving on to a series of cute poses.
KBIZoom says that people have had mixed reactions to the clip online. Some people on the internet were worried and said things like "Poses that evoke smoking should be handled more carefully," and "It feels more sensitive given the recent Jennie controversy."
Some people defended the actress by pointing out that the reel was more of an idea than a real thing. Some people said, "It's just a trending reel format," and others said the criticism was too much.
Many believe that Lee Min Jung's case is unlike Jennie's because the video showing her "smoking" at her birthday celebration was merely an arrangement of visuals instead of a representation of reality.
