Actor Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin's relationship story was shared publicly for the first time by their golf coach, Im Jin Han. The coach revealed how he first met Son Ye Jin and later began coaching Hyun Bin, providing insight into the couple's early days and their personalities.

During a recent episode of TV CHOSUN's "Heo Young Man's Food Travel', aired on the afternoon of April 19, Im Jin Han spoke about his experience coaching several celebrities, including the couple. He recalled Son Ye Jin's initial struggles with golf: "She had been playing golf for three years but never managed to get the ball airborne on the course. Her agency's representative asked me to coach her," Im said per Koreaboo.

Im detailed how his coaching with Son Ye Jin started: "The representative asked if I had time to meet her, and I said I had an hour the next day. Son Ye Jin came over wearing jeans and slippers between shoots. I gave her a quick lesson for about an hour. Later, she called and said half her shots were flying and the other half rolling. I told her she was doing great and should keep playing like that. That's how I started coaching her continuously, and we've kept in touch since then"

Son Ye Jin also requested that Im coach Hyun Bin, he said: "One day, she came and said, 'Please teach Bin too.' Hyun Bin also learned golf from me, and we often went to the golf course together" .

When asked by host Heo Young Man if he knew about the couple's relationship before their marriage announcement, Im laughed and replied, "One day, my wife asked me if the rumors about Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin dating and getting married were true. I denied it, saying it wasn't true because I wanted to protect them. But 20 days later, they announced their marriage. My wife called me a traitor," according to OSEN.

Describing the couple's dynamic, Im said, "When I see them, I think they fit perfectly. Ye Jin has a bit of a masculine, straightforward personality, while Hyun Bin is more quiet." He also revealed that during their dating period, the two used affectionate pet names for each other, though he did not specify what those names were.
