Actress Kim Bin Woo is facing renewed criticism after deleting a social media video that appeared to show her dancing while driving, with a subsequent comment on Instagram drawing even more attention than the video itself.

According to Star News, the controversy began on June 6 when Kim shared footage from a trip to Jeju Island with longtime friends. In the post, she reflected on their decades-long friendship, writing that although they had joked for years about not getting along, they ultimately matched each other best.
The video showed Kim and her companions dancing and enjoying music inside a moving vehicle. However, viewers quickly focused on Kim's behavior behind the wheel. She appeared to be driving with one hand while moving to the music, and some scenes allegedly showed her looking toward the camera rather than keeping her attention on the road.

Criticism also came for a scene where she seemed to have one leg lifted on the driver's seat while holding the steering wheel. Social media users questioned the safety of the road and whether the actions were promoting reckless driving.
As criticism mounted online, Kim removed the video from her account. What happened next, however, generated even greater discussion. Rather than issuing a public apology, Kim later posted a message that many interpreted as a jab at her critics.
"Whew, I'm going to grow sarira out of my body. Why do people pour so much unnecessary energy into hating others?" she wrote on Instagram.
The remark quickly circulated across online communities, with many users describing it as dismissive of legitimate safety concerns. Others argued that Kim appeared frustrated by the volume of criticism directed at her rather than attempting to address the issue directly.
The response has proven especially controversial because it comes only weeks after Kim faced another public backlash.
In May, the actress apologized following criticism over a late-night TikTok livestream conducted from her residence. During the broadcast, she sang and danced with loud music and lighting effects during the early morning hours, prompting complaints about potential disturbances to neighbors in her apartment building, per Koreaboo.
At the time, Kim acknowledged the criticism and issued a public apology, stating that she was reflecting on her "thoughtless actions" and would be more careful in the future.
The latest incident has led some critics to question whether that promise was short-lived. As debate over the driving video and her reaction continues, Kim has disabled comments on her Instagram account, limiting public responses on the platform.
The actress has not released any additional statement regarding the deleted video or the criticism surrounding her remarks.
