Kim Woo Bin Reveals How He Got Cast In "The Heirs"

Actor Kim Woo Bin rose to the top tier after participating in several dramas and activities in 2013, but his casting in the hit SBS drama "The Heirs" is what solidified his position as one of the most sought after actors of his generation. How did he get cast in this drama?

In an interview with Aju News, he revealed his casting story. He said, "I have done a lot of student roles in the past, and "The Heirs" is a story told in an academic setting. I heard about it from Lee Min Ho, but it was a different format then."

He continued, "Writer Kim Eun Sook just got home from her vacation in Turkey, and according to her, she randomly thought of me while writing the story there. She told me that she thought, 'I wish Kim Woo Bin would play the role of Choi Young Do'."

"After concluding the filming of "The Heirs", I had a meal with Writer Kim. It's been a while since I've last seen her so I told her to tell me how she honestly thought of my performance. Instead of criticizing my work, she complimented me really well and I was sincerely grateful."
