Park Hae Jin may not be winning the heart of Jun Ji Hyun in "You Who Came From The Stars" but he has snagged a new drama role right after his current drama ends. He will star in the SBS drama "Doctor Stranger." He will play Han Jae Joon a Harvard University professor and genius surgeon with a secret. It will be his first medical drama.

Before "You Who Came From The Stars" the actor starred in "My Daughter Seo Young." He found that the character Sang Woo in "My Daughter Seo Young" was just like him and the bright cheerful Lee Hwi Kyung was the exact opposite. What is he really like?

Here are a few facts.

1. While he says he is not that close to other celebrities when he does befriend someone the friendship lasts.

"I maintain friendships for a long time once I get close to someone," he said. "I've kept up friendships with Dynamic Duo, Bae Doo Na and Yoo Seung Ho."

2. He was involved in a scandal with Park Shin Hye but he says they were not dating.

"She was just a friend, like a younger sister," he said. "We became distant once the rumors broke and rarely talk to each other these days. When we used to get along, she was like my little sister, but now she's all grown up. I continue to support her whatever she does."

3. The actress he described as being his ideal type is Lee Bo Young, who was his "My Daughter Seo Young" co-star.

"She looks very innocent and that's appealing but she also has a very tough side," he said. "We used to talk for hours after shooting was done."

The fact that she had a boyfriend made it very comfortable.

4. He loves to give presents.

"I will give anything to the people closest to me, the ones that I treasure most," he said. "I think my future girlfriend might feel a bit jealous knowing that whether the person I cherished was male or female, I might still buy them a pair of nice shoes.

5. He recently flew to China to play the lead in the drama "Far Away," his fourth Chinese production. Although he says his lines in Korean, he had to memorize the other actors' lines as well. His first Chinese production was the drama "Famous Princesses," followed by "Qian Duo Duo's Marriage Story," "Another Kind of Splendid Life" and "Aesangsajajua."

"It's definitely more challenging than acting in Korea but the upside is that I can pay more attention to my fellow actors," he said.
