Kang Ji Hwan And Daniel Choi Play Sibling Enemies In "Big Man"

"Big Man," the revenge drama that will replace "Full Sun" has already lined up its cast..

Kang Ji Hwan, who appeared in "Incarnation of Money" and played the man pretending to be Yoon Eun Hye's husband in "Lie To Me," will portray the orphan Kim Ji Hyeok in "Big Man." His character endures a tough childhood until he meets a woman who runs a small traditional market restaurant. Following her example, he works hard and opens his own store at the market.

Then he discovers that he is really the secret son of the man who runs one of Korea's top companies. Unhappy with the way he was discarded and the suffering he endured, he decides to take revenge against the company and his indifferent family. Fortunately for him, the family has engaged in enough incriminating business deals for him to ruin them.

Kang Ji Hwan's character has an older brother, Kang Dong Suk, who grew up with everything he did not have.

Daniel Choi, who was last seen in "School 2013" with Lee Jong Suk and "Expecting Romance" with BoA, will play Kang Dong Suk, the heir to the Hyunsung conglomerate. Kang Dong Suk seems charming and easygoing but he's a ruthless businessman. It's easy to imagine Daniel Choi playing a charming character but ruthless is not something he has tried before. He was a hacker in "Phantom" but although he defied the law, he was idealistic.

According to the drama production company, the role of Kang Dong Suk is a complex one but Daniel Choi is ready.

"We think that Choi Daniel, who has challenged himself to take many different roles and has built his acting experience, is best suited for the role," said a production company representative.

Kang Dong Suk's efforts to protect his company and his own role at the company means that the half sibling characters may engage in a dramatic battle against each other.

The sibling rivalry will also extend to a love triangle in which they both compete for the same woman. Jung Ryeo Won, who recently starred in "Medical Top Team," is in talks to play that leading lady. Viewers may also remember her as Kim Sun Ah's sickly rival in "My Lovely Kim Sam Soon."

Jung So Min will play Kang Jin Ah, Daniel Choi's younger sister. It's a similar role to her heiress role in the melodrama "Nice Guy."

The drama begins after "Full Sun" on April 14.
