Lee Young Ae Becomes The First Asian Actress To Join Gucci’s “Chime For Change” Movement

Representing Asia and South Korea, actress Lee Young Ae joins Gucci's "Chime For Change" movement for women along with several Hollywood artists and personalities.

Lee Young Ae was appointed as the ambassador for Asia in Gucci's "Chime For Change", a movement which aims to aid women around the world in issues involving rights, justice, health and education. Within a year of its creation, the campaign has already funded 300 projects across 80 countries.

Representatives from the fashion brand stated, "We are proud to announce that Lee Young Ae will be joining our campaign as the ambassador for Asia, and we believe that she will be able to convince a lot of people to take part in our projects for women."

It was reported that Lee Young Ae will be joining top Hollywood stars and artists such as Julia Roberts, Alicia Keys, and Madonna. The movements is led my singer Beyoncé, and Gucci's creative directors Frida Giannini and Selma Hayek.

The actress shared her thoughts on the campaign, "As a mother who has a young daughter, I am honored to be part of this movement that aims to empower women across the world. I will work hard to represent Asia and inspire my fellow Asians to participate in the projects."
