Ji Chang Wook recently corrected the assumption that actress Song Hye Kyo is his ideal type.

When he appeared on MBC's "Section TV Entertainment" this weekend, interviewer Park Seul Ki brought up the fact that the actor had in the past named Song Hye Kyo as his ideal type. He originally made that choice on an SBS "Good Morning" show back in Dec. 2012.

On the "Good Morning" show he was asked to choose between various attractive female celebrities. It finally came down to a choice between Song Hye Kyo and Girls Generation's Yoona. He chose Song Hye Kyo.

At the time he said that his ideal woman was someone he could feel comfortable with. He would ideally like a woman that has a sense of humor similar to his old and one who is able to hold an interesting conversation.

"I think I fancy the cute type,' he said with a shy smile.

But since then he has changed his ideal type.

"Actually, rather than me picking her as my ideal type, it was edited to seem like I picked her," he said of his "Good Morning" choice.

The actor recently praised his "Empress Ki" co-star in interviews, talking about how they grew close during the drama's filming and how easy she was to work with. So interviewer Park Seul Ki asked him if he had to choose between Song Hye Kyo and Ha Ji Won, which woman would be closer to his ideal type?

"Ha Ji Won, noona," he said.

Ha Ji Won could hardly be described as the "cute type." While she is often endearing she is a serious actress, who is accomplished in a variety of sports and does much of her own stunt work.

In another interview earlier this year he was asked to choose his ideal type from among Empress Ki's three female stars. He chose Ha Ji Won rather than Baek Jin Hee, who excelled as the evil Empress Tana Shiri or Kim Seo Hyung who played the Empress Dowager.

At the time he justified his choice by saying that Ha Ji Won was bright, optimistic and healthy.

Ji Chang Wook played Emperor Ta Hwan and Ha Ji Won played the love of is life, Seungnyang, who later became Empress Ki. Since the drama ended they have both moved on to other projects.

Ji Chang Wook recently shot a musical mini drama titled "Caffeine," for his fan meetings in Japan, which will run through June 7. His next project is probably the film "Two Constables."

Ha Ji Won will appear in the film "Blood Merchants," which is based on a Chinese novel.
