Singer Rain (32, née Jung Ji Hoon) showed up in court. On May 28, 2014, Rain showed up in court for the final trial of designer Ms. Park (60), who was charged for defamation. Rain on this day explained the reason why he decided to charge Ms. Park for defamation, and added that, "I've had continuous trauma because of her serious defamation." Ms. Park was a leaser of Rain's building in August of 2009. In 2010, Ms. Park stopped paying rent and in January of 2012, Rain charged her for not vacating after lease ended. However, Ms. Park charged him for the damage she's received when the walls leaked. The court said the leakage from the walls was due to the humidity in the rainy summer season, and that Rain did not have the direct responsibility to repair it. Ms. Park then charged Rain again for a couple of times, saying her paintings have been ruined because Rain did not repair the building. Ms. Park had been demonstrating in front of the court in Seoul with signs that say, "Arrest singer Rain." The sentencing date for Ms. Park will open on July 4, 2014.
