“A New Leaf” Cuts Down Two Episodes, Concludes Earlier Than Scheduled

MBC drama "A New Leaf" bears sad news for its fans.

A representative from the networking company announced, "'A New Leaf' will be ending with 16 episodes on the 26th."

According to the rep, the filming was delayed and pushed back several times along with the suspension of the broadcast. Because the members of the cast are unable to reschedule their filming to accommodate the extension, the drama didn't have a choice but to cut down two episodes from its original 18-episode roster

In explanation, the rep stated, "The episodes scheduled to be broadcast on May 28 and June 4 were cancelled to give way for the broadcast of the soccer match and the national elections, delaying the scheduled finale by one week."

"However, the management has no choice but to finish the drama with 16 episodes to abide by the original filming schedule, because the cast, including lead actor Kim Myung Min, could not adjust their schedule to accommodate the extension. As a result, we have decided to air the finale earlier than planned," he said.
