Venom Spin Off: Emma Stone To Return As Carnage In The Movie Confirmed? Producers Favor Gwen Stacy Version Over Cletus Cassidy!

A new development has occurred regarding the Venom spin off movie as Emma Stone is rumored to be cast as Carnage in the movie.

According reports ComicBook.com, Sony and the producersof the Venom spin off have plans on using the Ultimate version of Carnage, but also foreshadowed the outcome that having Gwen Stacy back as the symbiote villain will likely receive negative feedback from movie and comicbook fans.

Screenrant conducted an interview with Emma Stone before regarding her character's comeback in the Amazing Spider-Man movies.

"I don't know... is it? There could be a-I don't know, there's a whole plotline that could happen that may bring her back"

A blogger from Comicvine cited that if Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb decided on putting Gwen Stacy in future instalments, he would have the Clone Saga or the Carnage Transformation storyline.

The blogger further adds that if they want the Ultimate version of Carnage in the Venom Spin off movie, they would suggest finding a character with the similar traits as Ultimate Gwen Stacy or have the original Carnage Cletus Cassidy in the movie.

In the Ultimate Marvel Universe, Gwen Stacy was killed by the rampaging Carnage symbiote as the creature absorbed her life force during their first encounter. In later issues, Peter Parker/Spider-Man was shocked to see Gwen alive and well, but with no memories of what happened to her before her death. It was revealed that it was in fact the Carnage symbiote itself who have taken the form of Gwen Stacy after the latter was killed and the creatures thinks that she is Gwen Stacy.
