'Game Of Thrones' Sean Bean's newest spy series, 'Legends,' premiere left the actor thankfully alive but not entirely well.

TNT, home of award-winning spy dramas like '24' and 'Homeland,' started an internet campaign for the actor to be kept alive in the new series last month. The hashtag #DontKillSeanBean was created as a clever marketing campaign for the show and Bean's followers.

Fans quickly made the witty advertising tactic a trend and even Bean himself supported the cause.

Bean, who has died in all types of manner in his movies and TV shows, appears in TNT's new spy drama as Martin Odom, an agent in the FBI's Deep Cover Operations division. His uncanny ability to take on an undercover character or "legend" makes him an invaluable asset in the agency. However, it also calls for some drawbacks in his personal life as well as his identity.

While the audience may enjoy Bean taking on different identities as he assumes his 'legends,' Odom's estranged wife isn't very happy about it.

He gets so deep in to his job and fake identities-a blue collar worker wanting to join a domestic terrorist group, a playboy drug dealer-that he has no time for his wife and son. As if his life isn't complicated enough, a mysterious man warns him about his life as Martin Odom being another legend itself.

Meanwhile, the 'Legends' premiere pulled in a respectable viewership according to The Hollywood Reporter. It was previously reported that the pilot episode would be moved back to August 27 but the show pushed through with its initial August 13 schedule.

It drew in 2.6 million curious viewers on its 9PM debut telecast and added another million to its numbers during its encore showing later that night.

The 10-episode show also managed to get 1.1 million viewers in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

The show's identity mystery drama coupled with Sean Bean's compelling acting as Martin Odom hopes to draw an audience count beyond the 'Legends' premiere numbers.

Ali Larter, Amber Valletta , and Morris Chestnut also star in 'Legends.' The next episode airs on Wednesday at 9PM.
