Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. made the announcement on August 28. "Samsung is leading this exciting and rapidly developing wearable category through progressive innovation," said JK Shin, CEO and head of IT & mobile communication at Samsung Electronics. "The Samsung Gear S redefines the idea of the smart wearable and the culture of mobile communication. It will let consumers live a truly connected life anywhere, anytime."

The company calls Samsung Gear S as "the next generation smart wearable device". The reason for this is because it lets users continue their smartphone experience to the wrist. It boasts of 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity and other "wearable optimized features to meet the evolving needs of consumers".

Since Samsung Gear S release date is no longer a concern, consumers are excited to know the specs. Samsung is ready to provide all the information.

The newest Samsung smartwatch boasts of its two-inch curved Super AMOLED display. It also features user-friendly interface. More interesting is it lets users to read notifications and messages in one glance with its condensed font and conversation view features. It also has onscreen keyboard to give them the chance to reply to messages without the need to use their smartphones.
