Taylor Swift is Billboard's Woman of the Year for 2014!
Billboard magazine described Swift as a musician that ""has shaped and inspired the music industry with her success, leadership and innovation over the past twelve months."
Taylor Swift Billboard Woman of the Year for 2014 lives for its title because, as Janice Min, an officer in Guggenheim Media's Entertainment Group said, as reported in E! Online:
"Over the course of her career, she's charted 60 entries on the Billboard Hot 100- the most of any female artist since her debut in 2006. We are tremendously excited to be honoring her as the 2014 Billboard Woman of the Year for the second time."
It was the second time that Taylor Swift will be Billboard Woman of the Year for 2014.
Among the accomplishments of the singer are the following:
-Seven-time Grammy trophies.
-one million album sales for "Speak Now" (2010) and "Red" (2012), within the 2 albums' first week in stores.
E! Online reported that Deborah Curtis, American Express entertainment and sports marketing vice president shared the singer's accomplishment, saying:
"On behalf of American Express, I would like to congratulate Taylor Swift on this incredible honor,"
"We are proud to be a long-time partner of Taylor's and are thrilled for her continued success and well-deserved recognition as Billboard's Woman of the Year."
The singer will accept the award formally in the yearly 9th Women in Music event in New York City on December 12.
