The Incredibles 2 News: One of the most beloved animated films by Disney will be getting a sequel! When will it be released?

Last December, Disney released one of their breakthrough films 'Frozen', which by the way will be getting a sequel. Now, they might be heading for another ride to success as fans will surely anticipate the continuation of the story of the most extraordinary family, The Incredibles.

During the Disney Investor's Meeting last March 18, 2014, Disney President Bob Iger confirmed that The Incredibles 2 is in the works.

Brad Bird will still be taking the helm as the director and writer for the Oscar winning film. However, Bird was having second thoughts on creating a sequel for this mega-hit. According to Slashfilm, he said at 2007 WonderCon: "Pixar does not look at sequels as a financial plan. We feel we have a relationship with the audience and that they believe in each movie we put out. We believe completely in every movie we put out."

"If I can come up with a story that is as good or better than that first film, then I'd love to return to that world, but it would have to be story first."

Samuel Jackson also confirmed that he will be back on the sequel of the film. It is possible that he will play a larger role, thus, some fans have speculated he might be one of the new villains. Rumored plot is that Mr. Incredible and Frozone were on equal footing on their heydays, but since The Incredibles saved the city from Syndrome and gained massive popularity, Frozone grew envious and decided to rival Mr. Incredible for the title of the best superhero.

The estimated release date of the film is yet to be announced, but the director of the 3D production team Josh Hollander hinted that they might finish sooner because of the advancement of technology.

He gave some words at the 3D Creative Summit in London Hollander told the audience: "Right now we're working on The Incredibles, which is a lot of fun in 3D. I'm not sure what the release strategy for it will be."It's been an interesting challenge to work on technology because - while the film was released 10 years ago - the technology is even older as it took four years to make."
