Google has some new Android wear updates.

According to Tech News World, on Thursday Android wear updates announced that GPS functions and music enabled systems offline will be included in the gadget.

Tech News World reported that Kenny Stoltz, an Android wear manager has written:

"Android Wear is great for tracking things like route, distance and speed."

"Before today, you had to keep your phone close at hand. Starting today, Wear supports watches with GPS sensors, so you can enjoy these features regardless of where your phone's at."

Users will be able to install music as part of the new Android wear updates from Google. They can listen to music through Bluetooth headphones only, without the need to do so on a phone, Tech News World reported. Google Play Music is the app responsible for running music in Google's Android wearable gadget.

Eight more apps from Google Play Music also run the music functions in Google's Android wear.

Tirias Research founder, Jim McGregor, voiced his insights on ways that Google's Android wear can incorporate some features improvements, as reported by Tech News World via an interview conducted by Linux Insider:

"The potential is huge and the applications almost endless."

"The only thing I see missing is possible support for other sensors and related applications, such as image and audio sensors for the ability to take quick pictures or record video or audio."
