Han Ye Seul plays the newly transformed beauty in the upcoming drama "Birth Of A Beauty." The model, actress and "Running Man" guest plays a woman who starts out unfashionably overweight but eventually becomes world-famous for her looks. Does being beautiful mean you will be happy? That's the question the drama will ask.

What else is there to know about this talented actress. Here are a few facts:

1.     Han Ye Seul was born in America but gave up her American citizenship in 2004. The actress, whose real name is Kim Ye Seul Yi, was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated college there before moving to South Korea to model. As a result she is fluent in both Korean and English.

2.     She has appeared in several dramas including "Spy Myung Wol," "Will It Snow For Christmas" and the drama version of  "Tazza," as well as two films: "Penny Pinchers" and "Miss Gold Digger."

She was the voice for the character Susan Murphy in the Korean-language version of the 2009 DreamWorks Animation film Monsters vs. Aliens. Dreamworks' Jeffrey Katzenberg said her beautiful voice suited the role perfectly. And he said that when he met her she was just as gorgeous as her voice.

3.     She does not think she is very talented but she is prepared to work hard to make up for that.

 "I don't think I have a natural gift for acting. I have to fix the aspects I lack in with hard work," she said when she spoke with Hallyu Interview. "I want to become the Han Ye Seul that viewers want to see a lot and love. Like that one friend everyone has. The kind of person that makes you happy after you see them again after a long time."

4.     She dates YG Entertainment producer Teddy, who many consider to be the best hip hop producer in Korea. When they date, they don't like to attract too much attention. They are said to spend time in the YG building and occasionally meet there with friends who are YG singers. In Nov. 2013 the couple confirmed that they had been dating for six months.

5.     She's close to her mom. In an interview with Elle, she said that she likes the fact their bond is strong. They enjoy spending time together doing nothing in particular.

"We watch TV, do other things and talk," she said. "There are a lot of things we talk about, and without choosing a subject, we talk and talk."
