We reported a few months ago that they are getting a supermodel to join the "Zoolander 2" cast. According to Complex, Cara Delevingne is in talks to play the female lead in the sequel. The 22-year old model will star alongside Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, who will reprise their roles as Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald.

A source told The Sun, "Ben and producers want a big-name model for the film and they need to be jokers and full of natural comedy." The insider added, "They are still working out what the exact role will be but it's likely to include a lot of goofing around."

We recently confirmed that Penelope Cruz has joined the cast of "Zoolander 2", but her role is yet to be confirmed. Most likely, the female lead role will go to her; so could there be room for another actress? Cara Delevingne is not just your typical supermodel because she has already proven that she can act. She appeared in the psychological thriller "The Face of an Angel" and is included in the cast of upcoming films such as "London Fields" and "Pan".

Mirror reported that Ben Stiller definitely wants Cara Delevingne to appear in "Zoolander 2". The 49-year old actor also confirmed that there is already a script. He told MTV, "There is a script, I won't deny there's a script, and there's been a reading of the script... but it hasn't yet been fully formulated."

Owen Wilson also confirmed, "I have seen the script and it seems funny." During a recent guest appearance at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", the actor who stars as Hansel confirmed that he will return as the easygoing male model. He told Ellen, "It's sort of like, we have to do it."

The host asked him if Zoolander is happening or not happening. The 46-year old actor said, "Well, I don't mean to be coy. But I know there's a script and it looks like Ben is considering it." He added, "So, yeah - we'll see." Ellen DeGeneres expressed how much she wanted to see Owen Wilson be part of the "Zoolander 2" cast. She said, "There's no way that you cannot do Zoolander again. We demand it!"

The actor also confirmed that the script was written by Justin Theroux and that he hopes to reprise his role. Check out a clip of the video here:
