Tom Clancy's The Division 2015 Release Date Updates: Fans Await Exact Launch, Expect Delay

Ubisoft promises to deliver the best RPG in Tom Clancy's The Division this 2015.  But as new reports suggested, the developers have not yet decided on a specific release date because of some production issues.

But as some gamers would note, a delay in any highly anticipated video game release is not new in the gaming world.  Master Herald noted that should Ubisoft finally announce the release date delay, it won't come a surprise to many as 2014 saw many delayed video game releases.

"Most of the game journalists will not at all be shocked with this delay. 2014 has been an uncharacteristic year for buggy titles. Many major AAA category games released this year experienced a lot of bug-related troubles in the beginning. Gamers are majorly disappointed with such occurrences. It is not only decreasing the consumer's faith in modern day developers but also reducing the chances of advance pre-orders. In general, Ubisoft has had a rough year," the site said.

And as some forums would suggest, fans of Tom Clancy's The Division are actually okay with a later release date if it means Ubisoft can actually deliver what it has promised.

The new game looks very impressive and boasts of noteworthy gameplays and plot.

"We want to show gamers the game they will end up playing. We don't want to sell a fantasy," Ubisoft Art Designer Rodrigo Cortez said.

"You're starting to see similar mixing of genres in other games. Before a game was either a shooter, or a third-person game, or a driving game. But now more and more there's a blend of genres into a bigger game. It can make the game hard to define - it has shooter elements, RPG mechanics, it's cover-based, online and a seamless open-world. It has all of that, yes. But we took it to heart. It's a proper RPG," he added.

"There's nothing like it out there so we can do things surprisingly well that nobody has done before. We don't have dragons or weird spell effects, we have technology and we have weaponry."
