It also has a 5.1-inch display that is favored by many.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha can run for a maximum of 12-13 hours.
The Galaxy S5 has a larger 2,800mAh battery, but since it has a larger screen and faster processor, shorter battery life is expected. However, the smartphone can last for 17 hours if the user intends to use it for purely watching videos.
