Tom Cruise took a break from filming "Mission Impossible 5" a few days ago as he was spotted having a dinner date with his ex-girlfriend Penelope Cruz.

The former lovebirds were seen dining at a posh restaurant in London a few nights ago. The 52-year old actor was seen leaving Scott's with a smile on his face and a kiss mark on his right cheek. Check out the photos from E! Online.

According to the website, Cruise looked like he was in a great mood and looked dashing wearing a dark coat over his blue sweater and jeans. After the Hollywood heartthrob got into his car, the "Vanilla Sky" actress exited the restaurant together with her best friend Salma Hayek.

The 40-year old Spanish beauty and the 48-year old Mexican actress were both seen wearing an all-black ensemble matched with bright red lipstick. It makes it more difficult to guess who left the kiss mark on the "Mission Impossible 5" actor's face because both have the same lip color.

Tom Cruise started dating Penelope Cruz in 2001 after he ended his marriage to Nicole Kidman. However, their relationship ended in 2004 and the reported reason was religious belief. According to US Weekly, the Church of Scientology can't accept the actress because she can't give up her Buddhist beliefs.

After Tom's break up with Penelope, he dated Katie Holmes and married her in 2006. The star of "The Counselor," on the other hand, started dating Javier Bardem and tied the knot with him in 2010. They now have two children together and still happily married.

Unfortunately, Cruise's marriage ended in 2012 and the custody of their daughter went to the 36-year old actress. There were reports that the actor took a break from filming "Mission Impossible 5" last Christmas to spend time with Katie Holmes and Suri.

However, her representative claimed that the reports were not true.

"Katie did not spend Christmas afternoon with Tom Cruise. She and Suri spent Christmas afternoon visiting children at a local hospital in L.A.," Katie's rep told PEOPLE.
