Kim Yoo Jung Wants Another Chance To Act With Yoo Seung Ho

Now that she's 15, Kim Yoo Jung has set her sights on more grown-up roles and she has a clear idea who she wants for her leading man. It's actor Yoo Seung Ho.

The child actress who previously starred in such dramas as "Moon Embracing The Sun," "May Queen" and "Golden Rainbow" has slowly been transitioning to more adult roles. Next she will play Kim Hee Sun's bullied teen daughter in the drama "Angry Mom."

Despite her young age, Kim Yoo Jung is a veteran actress. She was discovered at the age of five and by the time she was a fifth grader had appeared in 13 k-dramas and 15 films.

Kim Yoo Jung recently played a teenage bully in the critically acclaimed film "Elegant Lies," she appeared in the web drama "Love Cells" and had a starring role in the historical drama "Sado." What she hopes to do soon is play a leading role in a romantic melodrama. And she wants Yoo Seung Ho to be her leading man.

"Didn't he recently get out of the army," she asked when she appeared on the March 14 episode of the KBS program "Entertainment Weekly."

Yoo Seung Ho, 21, was recently discharged from his two-year-mandatory military service, and he's already lined up his first post-service role in the film "The Joseon Magician." His co-star in that film is actress Go Ara. She plays a princess and he plays a magician. The film's star-crossed lovers will need some real magic to realize their love.

"Congratulations on your dismissal from the military," Kim said on the program.

She also wished Yoo Seung Ho well in his post-army career. And she hopes that his career plans include a drama where they can work together. Or more accurately work together again. It would be the second time that they worked together, as they appeared in the same film when she was nine and he was 15. In that film his character Gil Hoo protected hers.

"I met him when I was really young in the 2008 film "Unforgettable," she said. "But that wasn't a romantic movie."

Yoo Seung Ho's last romantic partner in a k-drama was actress Yoon Eun Hye. In the melodrama "Missing You," Yoo played a character he went to extreme measures to protect her character. But his character could not erase her memories or change her heart.
