Bad news to all Apple users as the release date for the iPhone 7 has been changed though Apple will soon reveal a new feature for their latest gadgets.

It was previously reported by the Fuse Joplin that the Apple iPhone 7 will launch on Sept. 9, 2015, while The Latino Post reportedly claim that Apple will launch the device on Sept 7, along with the iPhone 6S.

A recent report from The Wall Street Journal (via Value Walk) claims that Apple will push back iPhone 7's release date to 2016, although, Apple has not made any statement regarding the sudden change of its launch date.

Value Walk commented that launch date change will give Apple plenty of time to work on their next generation handset and that Apple might be releasing a third version of the iPhone sometime in 2015.

Aside from the iPhone 7's delay, Apple is also working on a new feature for their devices. According to the Christian Post, the iPhone 7 will likely incorporate a new "Force Touch" technology, which the company already used in its Apple Watch and the newly released MacBook.

The Wall Street Journal adds that the Force Touch measures how hard a user presses on the screen, and it is currently being tested by the suppliers. Apple has been known to test many technologies and features for their upcoming iPhone models with suppliers before deciding whether to include the new feature or not in its products.

However, the series of tests does not guarantee that Force Touch will be used in the new iPhone line, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The Christian Post commented that "If the Force Touch technology is developed further, it could drastically change how users interact with the iPhone as the device would be able to differentiate between a gentle tap and a deep press with a finger. Apple has explained that while using Safari a deep press by the user on an address in an email will cause it to be displayed in Maps"

It was reportedly claim that the Force Touch can help developers reduce the number of on-screen buttons that are visible on many games as users will be able to apply different degrees of pressure directly on the screen to bring up the menu or other controls.

It has been rumored that the iPhone 7 will cost around $649 or even higher when the device is available for purchase in the market.
