Minecraft 'Mass Effect' Texture Pack, 'Pattern Texture Pack' Arrives On PS3, PS4 And PS Vita; Price And Other Details Revealed [Photos]
Looks like a good news for Minecraft players on PS3, PS4 and PS Vita as the fan favorite sandbox independent video game is slated to get the Mass Effect "Mash-Up Pack" and the "Pattern Texture Pack."
On Wednesday, two new DLC packs for Minecraft - The Mass Effect Mash Up Pack and the Pattern Texture Pack were launched for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita.
According to PlayStation.Blog, from Wednesday March 25, players will be able to download the Mass Effect "Mash-Up Pack" and the "Pattern Texture Pack."
Xbox 360's Minecraft skins are finally available on PlayStation consoles nearly after two years.
The Christian Times noted that the Mash Effect Mash-Up Pack will let "Minecraft" players explore the Mars Facility from Bioware's Mass Effect 3 and also create their own worlds using Mass Effect textures and craft able items. In addition, 36 character skins, 22 music tracks, a themed UI and menus will let players battle Reapers in the Minecraft universe.
The Pattern Texture Pack, on the other hand, will allow players to decorate their Minecraft worlds with knitted animals, beautiful patterns and bright colors. Plus, the pack also provides a themed UI and stylized texture set that players can apply to new as well as previously-created Minecraft worlds.
Considering that Minecraft was recently updated for PlayStation, it's obvious that PlayStation owners are not being left in the cold despite the fact that Microsoft now owns Mojang. Gamers were worried that under the ownership of the tech giant, Microsoft, there would be some major changes as far as what kind of content gamers would be eligible to receive is concerned. However, it looks like Microsoft was right in saying that nothing would seemingly change with the content already available on other non-Microsoft systems, and that DLC as well as updates would still be available to gamers.
The Mass Effect content release for the PlayStation consoles is an indication that Minecraft will continue to receive updates that are shared across multiple platforms.
The Mass Effect "Mash-Up Pack" is downloadable for £3.29/€3.99 and The "Pattern Texture Pack" will be downloadable for £0.79/€0.99.
