Choi Si Won's Chinese 'Wife' Is a Supermodel

Super Junior's Choi Si Won has a lot going for him. He's a popular singer. He's a k-drama actor, last seen in "The King of Dramas." And he's a real-life heir. So it makes sense that the woman he decides to marry might be something of a star in her own right.

Well, that has proven true already for his virtual wife.

Choi Si Won is currently engaged in a virtual marriage with model Liu Wen on the Chinese version of 'We Got Married."

Liu Wen is not just any model. She was the first model of East Asian descent to appear in a Victoria's Secret fasjion show and the New York Times named her China's first "bona fide supermodel." She also has a healthy bank account of her own, having been the first Asian model to make Forbes' magazine's list of highest paid models in 2013.

Choi Si Won and Liu Wen will experience married life together on the reality show that matches up celebrities. In fact, they've already started filming as Sina Entertainment recently released photos of the celebrities walking together enjoying the sight of cherry blossoms in a Chinese park. The celebrities strolled down the flowery lane wearing casual clothes and matching white sneakers.

Choi Si Won is well known in China, not only for his performances with Super Junior and his appearances in k-dramas and k-movies. He also filmed two Chinese movies recently. One was titled "Helios." The other was "Dragon Blade" and co-starred Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan and American actor John Cusack.

Choi Si Won and Liu Wen are not the first international couple to appear on "We Got Married." F.T. Island singer and actor Lee Hong Ki was paired with Japanese actress and model Fujii Mina. 2PM singer and actor Ok Taecyeon was previously paired with Chinese singer and actress Emma Wu. Super Junior singer Kim Heechul was matched with model, actress and Dream Girls singer Puff Kuo. SHINee's Key virtual married Japanese actress Arisa Yagi.

While the program shows the ups and downs of adjusting to life with a new spouse, the international pairings add some complications to make things even more interesting. International spouses have to adjust to different customs and misunderstandings may arise from not being fluent in each other's languages.

The 27-year-old Liu Wen has been quoted as saying that she has not yet a boyfriend. Choi Si Won, 28, is not a bad person to practice with.
