Ji Chang Wook's Agency Denies Rumors That He Is Dating Kim Joo Ri

On April 11, Glorious Entertainment issued statements in response to speculation that actor Ji Chang Wook was dating former Miss Korea-turned-actress, Kim Joo Ri (Julia). Rumors surrounding the actors began to circulate on forums, after netizens noticed similarities between the stars’ sunglasses and necklaces. These items accessories were thought to be couples items by fans, who took to forums to discuss the potential relationship.

According to a report published by OSEN, Glorious Entertainment categorically denied that Ji Chang Wook and Kim Joo Ri were dating. Ji Chang Wook’s agency acknowledged that the two stars have watched musicals together but in the company of their mutual friends. A representative for Glorious Entertainment stated, “It was a misunderstanding by fans.” The representative then said, “Kim Joo Ri and Ji Chang Wook are friends, who hang out with friends and many other people at the same time.”

His agency also provided clarification for the items which were thought to be couples accessories. The representative for Glorious Entertainment told OSEN, “The necklace was a present from a Chinese fan that was worn by Ji Chang Wook. Kim Joo Ri is not sure if they bought the same item.”

In addition to the items which were considered to be matching accessories, netizens pointed out photos on the Instagram accounts of the actors, which appeared to coincide.

The report noted that the sunglass style which was in question is currently a trend piece within Korea.
Representatives for Kim Joo Ri also denied the dating rumors through the statement, “It’s not the truth, it’s speculation.”

Kim Joo Ri became an internet sensation after winning the Miss Korea pageant in 2009. She was the first Miss Korea winner to represent Korea in the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants.

Ji Chang Wook has experienced increased attention and popularity since the conclusion of “Healer.”
