Super Junior's Choi Si Won and actor Ji Jin Hee walked down the red carpet at the recent Beijing International Film Festival to promote their upcoming film "Equator," also known as "Helios." It was the last film shown at the festival.

The action film has been in production for almost two years and is finally being released on May 28. "Equator" is a co-production by Korea, China and Hong Kong.

It's fitting that the film is a co-production as the story focuses on an alliance of those three countries after some terrorists steal weapons grade uranium. The international cast also includes Cheung Hok Yau, Nick Cheung, Shawn Yue, Wang Xiu Qi, Chang Chen, Yoon Jin I, Lee Tae Ran, and Kim Hae Sook.

Choi Si Won plays Pok Yu Chit, an elite agent who is sent to track down the terrorists and prevent a nuclear apocalypse. Ji Jin Hee plays Choi Min Ho, a nuclear weapons specialist. He is assigned to dismantle any nuclear detonator that the terrorists might have managed to build with the stolen uranium. Yoon Jin I is a secret agent on their team and Kim Hae Sook is Korea's Minister of National Defense.

Chang Chen plays "Helios," the criminal mastermind behind the nuclear heist. He and his assistant, played by Janice Man, steal the uranium with the idea of producing a weapon of mass distraction. They want to make a trade for the weapon in Hong Kong.

Both Choi Si Won and Ji Jin Hee have many fans in China and Hong Kong, so the film is highly anticipated there. It has been seven years since Choi Si Won appeared on the big screen, when he was cast in the Chinese film "Battle of Wits." His last small screen appearance was in the 2012 drama "The King of Dramas." He was also cast in a Chinese drama next, titled "Billion Dollar Heir," that will air some time in 2015.

Ji Jin Hee last appeared in the vampire k- thoughdrama "Blood," playing the role of Yoo Jae Hak, a bad vampire doctor. Before that he appeared in the critically acclaimed divorce drama "One Warm Word." He is no stranger to Chinese productions, having appeared in the Taiwanese drama "The 100th Bride" and two more Chinese films, "On The Way" with Eva Huang and "Bad Sister" with Ivy Chen. He is best known for his roles in the k-dramas "Dae Jang Geum" and "Dong Yi."

Sunny Luk and Longman Leung, who directed the film "Cold War" directed "Equator."
