"Bones" season 11 may either be renewed or cancelled as reports says the new season is still under negotiations.

Speculations of the "Bones" alleged cancellation, however, became viral over the weekend when actor David Boreanaz (Seeley Booth) took to Twitter to send out a farewell message to fans.

"Wanna thank the cast and crew of @BONESonFOX it was a great season. Family for 10 Seasons. Will always hold onto the memories. #Thanks," he posted.

According to IB Times, many fans have speculated that "Bones" has already been cancelled and will not be returning for a season 11 due to "unsuccessful cast contract negotiations."

Meanwhile, in an interview with TV Line, producer Stephen Nathan teased what fans can expect in the season 10 finale of the FOX series.

"It was a bit of fancy footwork, because we had to write a finale that was both a season and series finale from which we could return," he said.

"I don't know if you could say it's a cliffhanger, but there's a cliff. There's an emotional cliff, and a big bad from the past resurfaces in a way that is surprising," he added.

Trouble awaits Brennan and Booth on "Bones" finale as they deal with consequences of gambling relapse of Booth and how this affect them as a married couple.

"All of our stories start to tumble over each other as we approach the end of the season. The episode where Brennan finds out she's pregnant is also the episode where Booth is having a relapse. It's a tremendous danger to their relationship and something which, really, there's no resolution to. It's an ongoing issue," he added.

Nathan also revealed that season 10 finale will also feature a huge arc for Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) and Angela (Michaela Conlin).

"Bones" season 10 finale airs June 4 on FOX.
