IU Reveals She Was Nervous About Her Acting Comeback

Singer, and actress IU revealed her thoughts on acting again.

The singer met with the media on March 4th, when the press conference for upcoming KBS drama “Lee Soon Sin is The Best” was held at the Plaza Hotel, in Sogong-dong, Seoul.

On the event the actress talked about her concerns and nervousness she felt when deciding to act in a weekend drama, she said, “Getting the lead role in a weekend drama is really good. I was worried and nervous and wondered if I was able to do it.”

She added, “The director, writer and staff encouraged me, and told me I definitely could do it. I started to act with confidence in their words. I will work hard.”

She also talked about the reaction his mother and grandmother had when she told them she was going to star in a weekend drama, she said, “My mom told me 'How can I see you after I saw park Bo Young?' but I told her that Lee Soon Sin will also become pretty later. Thankfully my family supports me a lot.”

On the topic of romantic scenes, her love interest in the drama, actor Jo Jung Suk confessed, “I will work hard on our relationship, if she is okay with that. I am ready for the criticism after our first kiss.”

IU and Jo Jung Suk have a 13-year difference, she is 19, while he is 32 (non-Korean age), and since she is known as the “nation's little sister,” and a have an innocent image, a lot attention will be focused on their love scenes.

Meanwhile, “Lee Soon Sin is The Best” will premiere next Saturday, march 9th, at 8:00PM (KST) on KBS.
