'Castle' Season 8 Spoilers: Beckett And Castle's Relationship In Focus; Couple To Have A Baby?
“Castle” season 8 spoilers revealed that the forthcoming episodes will focus on Beckett and Castle’s relationship. It has long been rumored that the couple will take their relationship to the next level and have a baby in the next season.
As Kdramastars previously reported, it has long been rumored that Stana Katic will no longer be reprising her role in season 8. The actress has hinted that she plans to move on from the ABC series.
"For me it's about art over finance, and as long as we're creating something that is compelling and that has somewhere to go, then we're good to go," she said. "And when we find that we're not, when we don't have anywhere else to go, then it's time for everyone to pack up and move onto the next thing."
The actress, however, recently took to Twitter announcing her return for "Castle" season 8.
"I am so pleased to announce that, after taking with our new show runners, Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley (both of whom I have had the pleasure of working with on the show before). I am excited about the future plans for Beckett and delighted to be returning for a Season 8 of 'Castle.'"
Meanwhile, the show producers have been tight lipped on what to "Castle" fans can expect come season 8. Speaking to TV Line, showrunner Alexi Hawley revealed there is still no concrete plans on how the story line would progress from season 7.
"At this point, we haven't even sat down and talked about it yet," he said. "Fundamentally, Beckett and Castle's relationship has room to have movement in it. So for me - and I can't speak for Terence [Winter] - we're just excited to go in there and see what the future holds."
Hawley revealed that he, along with the other writers, is just happy that they do not need to come up with an arc without Stana Katic's character, Beckett.
"There's always a Plan B but it would've been a fundamentally different show, and that would've been quite a mountain to climb."
