Caitlyn Jenner finally made her much-awaited debut on Vanity Fair's latest cover on Monday, June 1.

Vanity Fair tweeted its latest cover starring Caitlyn, the transgender Olympian earlier known as Bruce. The magazine's 22-page cover story features gorgeous Annie Leibovitz photos of Caitlyn Jenner.

Leibovitz shot the first images of Caitlyn Jenner in her Malibu home for the forthcoming issue. The stunning photos go along with an article written by Buzz Bissinger, who is best known for his non-fiction book "Friday Night Lights."

"Jenner speaks movingly about her journey, telling Bissinger, 'If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, "You just blew your entire life," according to Vanity Fair.

This was the first time she publicly opened up since completing gender transition. Caitlyn mutually relates her two-day photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz for the July cover of Vanity Fair to winning the gold medal in the men's decathlon event at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.

She told Bissinger "That was a good day, but the last couple of days were better. . . . This shoot was about my life and who I am as a person. It's not about the fanfare, it's not about people cheering in the stadium, it's not about going down the street and everybody giving you 'that a boy, Bruce,' pat on the back, O.K. This is about your life."

Back in April, in an interview with Diane Sawyer, the former Olympian revealed that he had the "soul of a female."

According to records on CNN, the cover was well received with many on social media rallying around #CallMeCaitlyn.

Among Jenner's stepdaughters, Khloe Kardashian showed her support on the photo sharing website, Instagram by posting, "We were given this life because you were strong enough to live it! I couldn't be prouder!!! Caitlyn, You are beautiful!!!"

Kendall, on the other hand posted a video of some behind-the-scenes footage of the Vanity Fair shoot with a voice over of the former Olympian announcing, "As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I'm free."

Jenner is slated to receive the Arthur Ashe Award at ESPN's 2015 ESPYS awards show July 15 in Los Angeles.

"Recipients reflect the spirit of Arthur Ashe, possessing strength in the face of adversity, courage in the face of peril and the willingness to stand up for their beliefs no matter what the cost," ESPYS noted on its website.

In addition, starting July 26, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" will air an eight-part series focusing on Jenner's transition.

"If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, 'You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself,' and I don't want that to happen," Jenner told Bissinger, who spent hundreds of hours with the man, Bruce Jenner, over a period of three months, and then several hours with Caitlyn.
