Amazon Working On New PC Games? Studio Seeking Talented Designers To Work On Ambitious New Title For PC!

Looks like Amazon Game Studio is working on a promising new PC game as it is looking to hire a slew of talented designers who are excited to use Twitch, the AWS cloud, and technical innovation to radically evolve gameplay.

The online retailing giant is all set to take a crack at video games in a big way as Amazon Games Studio is searching for qualified individuals to join its expanding development team, which is currently working on an ambitious new title for PC.

In a post on LinkedIn, Amazon senior designer Kim Swift said the studio is hiring designers for "a new PC game project using the latest technology."

Swift added, "Our team in Seattle has worked on a lot of great titles including Portal, Left for Dead, Half Life 2, Dota 2, World of Warcraft, Halo, Infamous, Shadows of Mordor, and many others. We want people that are driven to make the best games in the industry. We're looking to take interesting risks, and invent!"

Kim even took to her Twitter to invite a slew of best designers for the studio's new PC game project.

"Hey! My team is hiring. Any designers out there looking?," she tweeted.

She also tweeted a link to Gamasutra to offer more details about the hiring, tweeting:

"Look! Jobs! Yay! Come and work with us!"

Prior to joining Amazon in 2014, Swift achieved notable development such as being a driving force behind Valve's popular puzzle platform game, "Portal," according to records on Slash Gear.

Moreover, the job post on Gamasutra specifically mentions "BioShock" and "Portal" creative talent, hinting that Kim Swift is probably involved as well.

The e-commerce giant already makes games which are playable on TV through the company's Fire TV Internet set-top box. Though Swift's hiring ad mentions a new PC game, earlier, Amazon has been increasing its game offering via its Fire TV.

Last year, Amazon even released a Fire TV game controller, making it easier to play games such as Minecraft via the TV set-top box. Amazon had even created few games for its Fire Phone, but in the wake of the phone falling flat, the games were later released on iOS.
