'Castle' Season 8 Spoilers: New Villain Destroys Beckett And Castle's Marriage? Relationship Put To The Test In Premiere Episode

"Castle" season 8 spoilers revealed that the upcoming episodes will feature several "big changes" involving Beckett and Castle's marriage which fans should look forward to.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, "Castle" producer Alexi Hawley revealed that there will be exciting twists come season 8.

"We just want to get in there and try to tell some really dynamic stories. Going into season 8, it feels like it's time to shake things up a little bit."

As Kdramastars previously reported the show producers have been tight-lipped when it comes to spoilers. Alexi Hawley revealed there is still no concrete plans on how the story line would progress from season 7.

"At this point, we haven't even sat down and talked about it yet," he told TV Line. "Fundamentally, Beckett and Castle's relationship has room to have movement in it. So for me - and I can't speak for Terence [Winter] - we're just excited to go in there and see what the future holds."

Hawley revealed that he, along with the other writers, is just happy that they do not need to come up with an arc without Stana Katic's character, Beckett.

"There's always a Plan B but it would've been a fundamentally different show, and that would've been quite a mountain to climb."

Carter Matt speculated that a new villain would be introduced in the ABC series which could put a strain in Caste and Beckett's relationship. The website suggested that instead of focusing on current characters, they would be better off introducing new ones.

"If the show does want some sort of ruthless serial killer on the loose, it would be beneficial for them to create someone new. Jerry Tyson is dead, and while Bracken is still alive, it feels for now like he is in a place where he cannot cause anyone trouble."
