In "Assembly" Jung Jae Young did not run for office as part of the minority party.  He was part of the majority party in the election.

On the 2nd episode of KBS 2TV Wednesday/Thursday drama "Assembly" (script Jung Hyun Min, director Hwang In Kyu, Choi Yoon Suk), Jin Sang Pil (played by Jung Jae Young) went forward as the candidate of the majority party.

Sang Pil was at a crossroad as he was approached by both the majority and the minority party.  Unlike the minority party that had emphasized fighting, the majority party, represented by Do Hyun (played by Jang Hyun Sung) said that the most important thing was to reach a mutual conclusion.  Here, he was very confident that he was going to lead the disagreements to a better conclusion.  In this process, the Welfare Committee was attacked.  Sang Pil said to Do Hyun, "So is the negotiation going well?  Is this right that I'm proceeding this way?"

At this, Do Hyun said, "Now and then, this is what I think of.  What do you think is the commonality between life and politics?  The fact that there is no right answer.  There's only a suggestion.  Politics is the process to my that choice the right answer" he answered.
