Lim Ji Yeon charmed audiences with her portrayal of Li Ji Yi in the recent drama "High Society." It was the first drama role for the actress but far from her first acting role. She will also soon serve as the host of MBC's program "Section TV."

Lim was one of three young actresses profiled recently in the Korean media outlet Sports Donga. While Lim Ji Yeon, 25, already made a successful small screen debut, the other two actresses that the publication profiled have yet to appear in their first drama but they will soon.

They are Kim Go Eun and Park So Dam, both 24.

Kim Go Eun recently won the role of Hong Seol in the webtoon-based drama "Cheese in the Trap." She will play a cynical college student for falls for a seemingly perfect guy played by Park Hae Jin. She can't believe how perfect he is and she's right. He has a secret. Kim also has several films to her credit. She was praised for her role in her first film, "Muse," and won awards for her role in "Coin Locker Girl." She can also soon be seen in the film "Memories of the Sword," which co-stars Lee Byung Hun.

Last but not least is Park So Dam. Park appeared in the mystery thriller film "Silenced," starring Park Bo Young, and she can soon be seen in the film "Veteran. Park So Dam will play Princess Hwa Wan in the KBS drama special "Red Moon," a retelling of the tragic story of Prince Sado. Park was also cast in the upcoming drama "Because It's the First Time" opposite SHINee's Minho. She plays an upbeat and optimistic girl trying to endure a life full of hardships. But to complicate her already-difficult life she gets caught in a romantic love triangle between her old boyfriend and a childhood friend.

The actresses are not only around the same age but they all studied acting at the same school. Lim, Park and Kim attended the Korea National University of Arts acting department. So far, Lim's drama debut has been judged a success. Given their film success, it is expected that Park and Kim will also be worth watching.
