Won Bin And Lee Na Young Are Expecting Their First Child

First they denied they were dating. But after Lee Na Young and Won Bin were photographed together in 2013, they admitted to their relationship.

Early in May 2015 they denied the rumors that they were getting married or expecting a child. Eden Nine, the agency that represents both actors, called the rumors "ridiculous."

Less than two weeks later, the couple was married in a small private wedding in Won's hometown of Jeongseon. At that time the agency spoke to the Korean media outlet Dispatch, explaining their initial denial.

"They wanted to keep the wedding very memorable, yet quiet so they could make their vows for the future with only closest family members watching."

The agency also denied that the wedding was due to a pregnancy.

"The rumors about Lee Na Young becoming pregnant with their child are absolutely untrue," said an Eden Nine representative.

On August 3, two months after Won Bin and Lee Na Young were married in a private ceremony, the agency announced that the couple is expecting their first child. They did not share their child's due date.

"Lee Na Young and Won Bin tied the knot not that long ago," said the Eden Nine representative. "Thanks to everyone who congratulated them. We′re happy to relay some more good news. Lee Na Young and Won Bin, who are enjoying their newlywed life, are expecting a new family member."

The agency also said that Won, 37, and Lee, 36, plan to appear in new projects. Won Bin has not appeared in a drama since 2002 and his last film role was in the 2010 film "The Man From Nowhere." He won at least eight awards for his role in that film, including Baeksang and Grand Bell Awards. Lee Na Young has had a few projects since her 2010 drama "Fugitive: Plan B." She appeared in the films "Lady Daddy," "Howling" and "SPEC: Close." She can also be seen in a short film titled "Sad Scene." It is not known whether she will work during her pregnancy.

"These two have gone from being lovers to become one," said Eden Nine. "They not only continue to appear in projects but plan their lives together and are grateful to be able to relay the news of a new family member. Both stars want to express their gratitude to everyone who sent them many blessings. They wanted to share the news of the birth of a new life with all of you. Through future projects, they promise to continue to show a more mature side to everyone who has sent so much love and blessings."
