Actress Kim Yoo Jung may return to high school a role in the drama "Cheer Up." This school is as prestigious as the one her character attended in Kim's last drama "Angry Mom."

Only this time the character's extracurricular activities will include taking part in the cheerleading team.

KBS has confirmed that the actress has been offered the part and is currently considering it. But she has been too busy working to make a final decision.

Since playing Kim Hee Sun's bullied daughter in "Angry Mom," the 15-year-old actress has been in demand. She was cast in two 2015 films "Joy" aka "Circle of Atonement" and "Because I Love You." Her co-stars in "Joy" are Sung Dong Il, who plays her father, and up-and-coming actor on Son Ho Joon. Her co-stars in "Because I Love You" are Cha Tae Hyun and Seo Hyun Jin.

"Cheer Up" is a story of friendship in a highly competitive school. If Kim Yoo Jung takes the leading role, she will play a girl with academic problems but a pleasing personality and enviable cheerleading skills. When it comes to grades, she cannot compete. But when it comes to cheerleading she shines.

Will she be appreciated for her unique contributions to her school or will her skills be deemed inferior to the ability to score well on tests and succeed academically? That's one of the questions this drama will ask. Not everyone can do well academically. Are academics all that matter?

Kim Yoo Jung has known drama success since her first role when she was only 9. That year she appeared  in the drama "Thank You My Life." She has worked consistently since then, appearing in dozens of dramas and films. Her efforts as a child actress and an adult have been rewarded. She won New Star Awards for her role in "Secret Door" at the 2014 SBS Drama Awards and Best Child Actress awards for "May Queen" and "The Moon Embracing The Sun" at the MBC Drama Awards.

Lee Eun Jin, who directed "Trot Lovers" and "Expecting Romance," will direct "Cheer Up." Yoon Soo Jung, who wrote the script for "The King's Face" and "Mandate of Heaven," will write the screenplay. The 16-episode Monday-Tuesday Drama will air on KBS in September.
