A former employee of a Virginia-based TV Station shot and killed a reporter and camera-man before taking his own life. The man in question is Bryce Williams and he reportedly had grievances with the TV station. His bosses described him as having trouble getting along with others at work. The shooting incident occurred at 6:45 am when the reporter was interviewing another woman. The live camera showed a third person on the camera screen before the shots were heard. Williams proceeded to post the video in what was believed to be his own twitter and Facebook accounts. The station manager had told Bryce Williams aka Vester Lee Flanagan II, the suspect in the shooting, that he receive help for “performance issues.” He left the station unwillingly after he was having trouble holding the teleprompter. Williams was acting aggressively at the time, said WDBJ7 general manager, Jeff Marks, according to the Associated Press.“This is less about a dead man who made two other people dead, except for the extent that there may be any lessons to learn, “ said Marks in a Guardian report. “But that will take time … It’s just going to take time for us to heal. For all of us in the Roanoke area to deal with us.” “Andy Parker, the father of the murdered reporter, vowed to do ‘whatever it takes to get gun legislation, to shame people, to shame legislators,” the Guardian reported.Alison Parker grew up in Martinsville, Virginia, and was a graduate of James Madison University's School of Media Arts and Design. "She had a bright future," said Bill Wyatt of the University’s communications department. "She was passionate about journalism and she was a great person to work with."Both Alison and Adam were loved by colleagues at the station.
