Chae Jung An currently plays the unhappy wife Lee Chae Young in the hit drama "Yong Pal." Her character is not in love with her evil husband Han Do Joon but longs to run away with Kim Tae Hyun, played by Joo Won. And she has been so helpful, she almost deserves to, were it not for the fact that Kim Tae Hyun is in love with Kim Tae Hee's character.

1. Chae's career survived a divorce, which until recently could have a negative effect on a Korean actress' career. She was married in 2005 to a marketing company board member but the marriage did not last long. A year and a half later the marriage was over. It happened so long ago that many k-drama viewers had no idea.

"I'm sure many people did not know I was married," she said on the program "Some Men and Some Women." "I did marry once. It was very quick."

2. Chae made her post-divorce comeback with a role in "Coffee Prince." She played Han Yoo Joo, the artist that both Gong Yoo and Lee Sun Kyun loved when they were not in love with Yoon Eun Hye.

3. Shin Se Kyung praised Chae Jung An while filming 'When A Man Loves," a melodrama they both starred in. And she thanked her co-star for her support. Netizens did not view Shin's character in that drama favorably and she received a lot of negative comments.

"Jung An is very nice and interesting," Shin said in an interview with asia.co.kr. "She was a big source of comfort for me on the set. She is easy going and isn't deceptive. We were able to get along just fine since there wasn't any kind of boundary between us. She is very humane and frank."

4. Kissing So Ji Sub made her tremble. She kissed the actor for a scene in the drama "Cain and Abel."

"The scene was set to be very romantic. Therefore, we tried to create this romantic feeling during our kiss scene. I was trembling a little at that moment. My kiss with So Ji Sub was short, hence, the thought of purposely creating NGs had crossed my mind as well."

5. Chae Jung An counts "Cain and Abel" co-star Han Ji Min among her girlfriends, but she's also close to Park Shin Hye. Park posted a picture of them together on her Instagram page. She also posted a picture of her in the crowd at a Busan concert, along with some lyrics to Chae's song "Heartless." Park wrote, "Chae Jung An unni is the best."
