Katie Holmes recently brought her and Tom Cruise's daughter on an event, sparking speculations that it may be the actress' way of getting Suri accustomed to public apperances.

"Saturday's Global Citizen Festival, already jam-packed with celebrity performers and attendees, added one more special guest to its roster when Katie Holmes brought daughter Suri Cruise up on stage," People reported.

"Holmes, 36, and Suri, 9, gave a wave to the crowd of tens of thousands as Holmes spoke Saturday at the festival, where she joined a slew of performers and celebrities including Ed Sheeran, Pearl Jam, Kerry Washington, First Lady Michelle Obama and more," the report continued.

It has been previously reported that Katie Holmes enrolled her daughter in an acting class, with Tom Cruise's blessing.

"Katie loves the idea of Suri taking acting," an insider reportedly told Dish Nation. "Growing up in the spotlight has made Suri a little closed off and shy, and Katie thinks that learning acting will help her become more confident and bring her out of her shell."

"Katie also loves the idea of Suri following in her acting footsteps - she'd love to get her some small roles in the near future," the source continued. "Tom [Cruise] is on board also, as long as it makes Suri happy."

It may not be clear whether a project is in the works for Suri Cruise, but according to the insider, Katie Holmes reportedly doesn't want her daughter to be forced into anything she doesn't enjoy.
