Super Model Kendell Jenner Opens Up About Her Battle With Acne, 'It Does Not Define Who I Am.'

Kendall Jenner, the face of Estée Lauder that walked the runways of many prestigious fashion labels as well as featured in Vogue magazine opened up lately about her struggle with acne.

The 19-year-old reality star who is the one of most sought-after models in the fashion industry has revealed about her battle with acne while growing up, in her recent blog post. Jenner said that she remembers how her skin looked with acne during her schooling when she was around eighth or ninth grade, according to People.

Kendell Jenner Acne Is A Confidence Blow

Jenner also recalled the incident when her sisters gave a simple tip of keeping her hand off the face and not to pick it while she was sitting by the pool at home. Having grown up with acne as a teenager she admitted that the skin condition is a big confidence blow.

"Where it really impacted me was how self-conscious I became about it. It completely ruined my self-esteem. I wouldn't even look at people when I talked to them," Jenner revealed. "I felt like such an outcast; when I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face. Sure, I had crushes in high school, but I wouldn't even think about looking at guys," she added.

Kendell Jenner Acne Cleared Up Slowly

The reality star who admitted doing laser genesis with her incredible dermatologist noted that there is no overnight cure for acne and other similar skin conditions. She added that even after the acne started clearing up it took a while for her skin to recover as well as for her to regain confidence, reported Teen Vogue.

"Slowly, I'm working towards not caring and I'm just in so much of a better place about it all now that I'm older," Jenner was quoted as saying by Teen Vogue. "I realized that it's a part of life for some people and it doesn't define who you are."
