Here’s Why “Wrecking Ball” Singer, Miley Cyrus Still Feels Like an “Underdog” (Photo/Video)
Miley Cyrus fourth studio album “Bangerz” has sold a top selling record at 270,000 in its first week after it was launched on Oct. 1, Tuesday. Her hit song, “Wrecking Ball,” has been viewed 271 million times since it was uploaded on YouTube on Sept. 9. But Liam Hemsworth’s ex, reveals she still feels like she’s an “underdog.” Read on to see why.
In an interview for the December 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan, Cyrus admits that she’s “living the dream,” and that things seem how she wanted them to be, noting that “everything falls into place.”
"Everything is so chaotic and crazy right now and it’s so much all at once, but I’m living for it. I'm just having the best time ever and everything’s falling into place like it’s supposed to," Cyrus was quoted as telling the magazine by the Huffington Post.
Talking about the place she’s in these days, “The Last Song” star then noted how she believes the society perceives her.
"I don’t want to say that I’m on top right now -– I feel like I’m kind of an underdog in a cool way," Miley continued.
Still speaking up about how her haters, the controversial singer compared it to “punk rock.”
"It’s almost punk rock to like me because it’s not the right thing to do. Like, society wants to shut me down,” Miley added.
"Even people who want to hate on me, they can’t even shut down the fact that I’m literally what everyone is talking about."
Miley has been in the headlines since her raunchy performance with Robin Thicke at th 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
After her shocking twerking, use of foam finger and butt-shaking, Miley and Australian hunk, Liam Hemsworth called it quits on Sept. 16, 2013. The former celebrity couple met on the set of “The Last Song” and they had been inseparable since they first kissed on set in Sept. 2009. At least, until four years after.
Both stars have reportedly moved on as they have been confirmed seeing other people since breaking up.
