Yeo Jin Goo Got Birthday Cake from IU
tvN's "Hotel Del Luna" production team has dropped a new behind-the-scenes video of IU and Yeo Jin Goo!
The video starts showing the scene with IU (Lee Ji Eun) and Yeo Jin Goo working really hard as it was shown that they were professionally changed themselves into their roles of the character they were playing, and soon act out the next scene where she tears out a piece of paper with an address in it and hands it to the actor.
Although the staff signed a "cut" , Yeo Jin Goo still play along and continued the scene by joking IU, that she gave him the wrong address written in the paper. When she doesn't play along, he expresses his frustration and disappointment and asks her, "How can you change like that?"
Eventually, IU consoles him by pretending to call someone to ask for the right address. She pats him comfortingly and says, "It's not the neighborhood of Hannam but the neighborhood of Seongsu." Yoo Jin Goo was consoled by her efforts, then the actor finally stops pouting, and IU sarcastically but jokingly commented, "This is tiring."
Meanwhile, the production crew held a surprise celebration for Yeo Jin Goo with a birthday cake and sings the birthday song to him by IU. Before he blows out the candles, he wishes that "Hotel Del Luna" will reach viewership ratings of 20 percent, and everyone also reacted, hoping for it to become true.
The producing director revealed that the actress IU was the person behind the surprise celebration. The PD stated that IU had begun preparing for Yoo Jin Goo's birthday since yesterday, while the actor Yeo Jin Goo expresses a shocked reaction, IU then throws a joke, "Are you crying or not?," and when Yeo Jin Goo replies he isn't, she pretends to get disappointed.
Yoo Jin Goo expressed himself to be grateful and send his thank you with IU for the cake she personally picked out and as well as saying he was very touched by the great act.
Another staff congratulates him again, and Yeo Jin Goo thanks him before getting up to receive the wireless microphone while joking that it is his birthday gift.
