"Miss Baek" Han Ji Min as the Hot Topic this Chuseok
The movie, which was released on 2018, received a lot of support from the viewers as well as mobilized 720,000 moviegoers, around the country.
"Miss Baek" was directed by Lee Ji Won, featuring the new child actress, Kim Xia and Actor Lee Hee Jun was cast for the film as well, co-starring Han Ji Min.
The movie centralized on the theme of campaigning anti-child abuse which up until now, Han Ji Min has been pursuing and leading the campaign.
In the movie, Han Ji Min played the role of Baek Sang Ah, is a former convict. Due to her past, she distances herself from other people, not until when she encounters a child, Kim Ji Eun, who is a victim of abuse (played by Kim Xia).
Baek will then do everything to protect and save the poor child from this cruel world, together with Lee Hee Jun who played the role of Jang Sub, who has lingering feelings towards Baek Sang Ah.
The film does not only got viewers' attention but also recognized by different Film Festivals. Han Ji Min brings home the "Best Actress Award" from various Award ceremonies such as the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards, where Kwon So Hyun also got the "Best Supporting Actress Award" as well as the film director Lee Ji Won was awarded as the "Best New Director".
The actress was also recognized as Best Actress on the 39th Blue Dragon Film Awards, 38th Korean Film Critics Association Awards, the 3rd London East Asia Fil Festival and the Women's Filmmaker of the Year Award.
