Mick Jagger denied ever hitting on Katy Perry when she was a teenager.
The 70-year-old singer released a statement in which he denied that he hit on the Roar singer when she was 18. The statement further said that perhaps the songstress was confused.
"Mick Jagger categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry. Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else,'' his rep said.
Perry revealed that Jagger hit on her in 2004 when she sang as a backup singer for his song Old Habits Die Hard in a recent appearance on Nova FM, an Australian radio station.
"I actually went to dinner with him one time and he hit on me one time when I was like 18," she told the hosts. ""But that was a long time ago and since then he's been very kind and I got to sing Beast of Burden on his stage on their tour."
When she was asked how she turned down Jagger, she replied, "Well, you bring a friend and they do them. You sacrifice your friend."
Perry was in Australia to promote her album, Prism. She was one of the guest performers on the Rolling Stones' tour earlier this year.
