For the past years, Call of Duty has always been marketed with live-action trailers. With Call of Duty: Ghosts's release today, Nov. 5, Activision released the latest live-action trailer for the video game with Megan Fox in a cameo appearance as a sniper. The Transformers star saves one of the four gamers as they go in post-apocalyptic Las Vegas.
The trailer is titled Epic Night Out, it gives the viewer a quick tour on the different gaming environment that they would experience in the new video game. One environment would be in outer space, where the four guys fight as astronauts. In Vegas, one of the gamers tries to hit on sexy shooter Fox but instead Fox clears the view to shoot a drone. The trailer was directed by James Mangold.
Last year, it was Robert Downey Jr. who made an appearance in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2." The Ironman star is not a stranger to video games as he also enjoys playing them.
The video's theme song is Frank Sinatra's I'm Gonna Live Till I Die. At the finale of the video is a tag line: "There's a soldier in all of us."
According to a statement released by Activision, "Call of Duty: Ghosts" marks the next chapter for the video game franchise, "delivering a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast, all powered by a new next-generation Call of Duty engine."
Some fans were thrilled about the new trailer as reported by Mirror. One fan said "Wow that was? actually quite good. I don't really like CoD that much but that was a good trailer."
Meanwhile, some fans were disappointed: "This video is in no way accurate. The only part they got right is? the fat guy."
