Han So Hee Recounts Her Humble Beginning With Only 300,000 KRW ($243) in Her Pocket

The humble start of actress Han So Hee has captured the attention of many news headlines. She is currently garnering plenty of attention after she appeared in the JTBC's new drama "World Of The Married" and stirred a buzz online after old photos of her having a cigarette and with tattoos all over her skin surfaced.

Despite her being currently one of the hottest trending stars on the industry, little do people know that she also experienced a lot of struggles and hardships in her journey to the entertainment world.

Han So Hee had starred in small screen dramas like "Reunited Worlds," ''Money Flower," and "100 Days My Prince," and also appeared in SHINee's music video for "Tell Me What To Do." It's undeniable that she gained admiration from the viewers because of her visuals.

However, it was not easy for her to achieve the fame she is currently experiencing. The actress shifted suddenly after majoring in art into acting and transferred to Seoul from Ulsan to go after her career and took a job for a famous cracker brand, Ritz Crackers, as a model and a lot of projects followed after like being a model for contact lenses, makeup, and mobile game company.

There was one particular post from her 2018 blog entry, saying that when she thinks about her past self who came to Seoul with only 300,000 KRW ($243) in her pocket, at a young age (20 years old), it makes her feel like a decade has passed already. Recounting her past, Han So Hee shared that every morning back then, when she wakes up, she goes to work at a beer hall in Gangnam until the sun rises the next day. She added that if she did not endure those years and experiences, she wouldn't have become what she is today.

Born as Lee So-hee, the actress was born on November 18, 1994. Apart from her past dramas mentioned above, she is also notable for her performances in drama the drama "Abyss" (2019), alongside lead actors Ahn Hyo-seop and Park Bo-young. She portrayed the role of Jang Hee-jin/Oh Su-jin, Cha Min's fiancée, who mysteriously disappears just before their wedding.

Han So Hee made her acting debut in the series "Reunited Worlds" (2017). She also made an appearance in Roy Kim's "The Hardest Part."
